5 września kończą się wakacje dla uczniów nowojorskich szkół publicznych. Pierwszy dzwonek zabrzmi we wszystkich podstawówkach oraz szkołach średnich. We wtorek Department of Education opublikował szkolny kalendarz dni wolnych na rok 2018-19. Informacja dni wolnych w szkołach przyfa się rodzicom młodszych dzieci, który będą musieli brać dzień wolny aby zapewnić opiekę swoim pociechom. Starsi uczniowie z pewnością będą wyczekiwać kolejnej przerwy od nauki podczas kolejnego roku szkolnego.
