– [Andrzej Mikolajczyk] Została Pani powołana przez burmistrza Nicholasa Helmera i Radę Miejską Prospect Heights do pełnienia funkcji radnego w 4. okręgu wyborczym w styczniu 2021 roku. Teraz kandyduje Pani, aby kontynuować funkcję radnego w Prospect Heights? Jakie są Twoje główne cele, aby służyć swoim wyborcom?
* [Danielle Dash] Ubiegam się o urząd, aby nadal pełnić funkcję radnego 4. okręgu. Dorastałem w Prospect Heights, a teraz wychowuję tutaj swoją rodzinę. Połączenie mojej 9-letniej służby w Radzie Planowania i Zagospodarowania Przestrzennego, dyplomu z inżynierii lądowej i 25-letniego doświadczenia zawodowego w budownictwie mieszkaniowym daje mi wyjątkowe kwalifikacje do służenia mieszkańcom Prospect Heights. – Jakie macie powiązania z miasteczkiem Prospect Heights? Jak długo tam Pani mieszka?
* Mieszkam przez całe życie w Prospect Heights. Chodziłam do szkoły podstawowej Prospect Heights i ukończyłem liceum Johna Herseya. Po ślubie z moim mężem w 2004 roku uczyniliśmy Prospect Heights naszym domem, w którym wychowujemy dwoje naszych dzieci w wieku 15 i 13 lat. Od 2004 roku jestem wolontariuszem w Kościele St. Alphonsus Liguori w Prospect Heights i działam w młodzieżowej drużynie baseballowej i softballowej Prospect Heights od 2012 roku.
W Komisji Odwoławczej Miejskiej Komisji Planowania i Zagospodarowania Przestrzennego rozpocząłem pracę w 2011 roku, a od 2015 roku byłam przewodniczącą komisji aż do objęcia funkcji radnego 4. okręgu wyborczego w styczniu 2021 roku.
– Funkcja samorządowa wymaga wielu umiejętności, kompetencji, by efektywnie służyć mieszkańcom i podejmować trafne decyzje dla miasta. Jakie masz kwalifikacje i doświadczenie, które pomogą Ci dobrze służyć swoim wyborcom?
* Ze względu na swoją karierę w budownictwie mieszkaniowym od 25 lat współpracuję z władzami miejskimi. Doskonale rozumiem, jak tworzyć udane relacje z samorządami. Moje doświadczenie w pozyskiwaniu gruntów i zagospodarowaniu terenu jest niezwykle cenne, ponieważ miasto nadal zajmuje się problemami związanymi z kanalizacją i powodziami. Moje doświadczenie w służbie Miasta w Komisji PZBA [Miejskiej Komisji Planowania i Zagospodarowania Przestrzennego] przez ostatnie 10 lat również daje mi wyjątkowe kwalifikacje.
– Na podstawie Spisu Powszechnego (CENSUS) z 2010 roku w Prospect Heights mieszkało 16256 osób. W Pani dystrykcie wyborczym mieszka znaczna liczba Amerykanów pochodzenia polskiego. Twoim przeciwnikiem jest Mariusz „Mark” Folta. Jak myślisz, dlaczego Polacy powinni rozważyć głosowanie na Twoją kandydaturę?
* Polacy powinni na mnie głosować, ponieważ jestem najbardziej wykwalifikowanym kandydatem. Moje doświadczenie, wiedza i życiorys są po prostu nie do pobicia.

Danielle Dash running for the 4th Ward Alderman in Prospect Heights
Candidate appeals to the Polish American voters
–[Andrzej Mikolajczyk] You were appointed by the Mayor Nicholas Helmer and the Prospect Heights City Council to serve as the 4th Ward Alderman in January 2021. Why do you run for the 4th Aldermanic office in Prospect Heights? What are your major objectives to serve your constituents?
* [Danielle Dash] I’m running for office to continue serving as the 4th Ward Alderman. I grew up in Prospect Heights and now I’m raising my family here. The combination of my 9 years of service on the Planning & Zoning Board, my degree in Civil Engineering, and 25 years of work experience in residential construction make me uniquely qualified to serve the citizens of Prospect Heights. I will serve my constituents by being their voice on the City Council.
–What are your connections to the City of Prospect Heights? How long have you been living over there?
* I am a life-long resident of Prospect Heights. I attended Prospect Heights elementary schools and graduated from John Hersey High School. After marrying my husband we made Prospect Heights our home in 2004 where we’re raising our two children ages 15 & 13. I have volunteered at St. Alphonsus Liguori in Prospect Heights since 2004 and have been active in the Prospect Heights Youth Baseball and Softball organization since 2012. I started serving on the City’s Planning & Zoning Board of Appeals in 2011 and became the Chairman of that Board in 2015. I have been the Alderman of Ward 4 since January of 2021.
— Aldermanic function requires many skills, competencies to effectively serve residents and to make proper decisions for the City. What are your qualifications, experience that will help you to serve well your constituents?
* Due to my career in the residential construction industry I have been working with municipalities for the past 25 years. I have a strong understanding of how to create successful government relations. My experience in land acquisition and site development is extremely valuable as the City continues to address drainage and flooding problems. My experience serving the City on the PZBA for the past 10 years also makes me uniquely qualified.
–There were 16,256 people living in Prospect Heights based on the 2010 CENSUS. There is a significant number of the Polish Americans living in your ward in and in the city. Your opponent is Mariusz “Mark” Folta. Why do you think the Polish Americans should consider voting for your candidacy?
* Polish Americans should vote for me because I’m the most qualified candidate. My experience, expertise and resume are simply hard to beat.
