Australia/ Setki demonstrantów antyszczepionkowych i brutalność policji [foto]

Władze australijskiego stanu Wiktoria wezwały w czwartek kilkuset antyszczepionkowców, którzy protestowali w środę w Melbourne do wykonania testów na koronawirusa, gdy okazało się, że jeden z demonstrantów trafił z Covid-19 do szpitala.

Stanowy resort zdrowia wydał komunikat, w którym apeluje do uczestników protestu, by nie lekceważyli nawet najłagodniejszych objawów infekcji i wykonali testy.

 

Demonstracje jakie odbyły się w środę to ciąg dalszy trwających od trzech dni protestów przeciw obowiązkowym szczepieniom na Covid-19 dla pracowników sektora budowlanego.

 

W czwartek w Wiktorii wykryto najwięcej zakażeń od początku pandemii – 766, a na Covid-19 zmarły cztery osoby.

 

W poniedziałek w Melbourne setki osób zaatakowały siedzibę Unii Budowlanej, Leśnej, Morskiej, Górniczej i Energetycznej (CFMEU), protestując przeciw obowiązkowi szczepień. Doszło do brutalnych starć z policją, a miasto zostało sparaliżowane. Aresztowano co najmniej 66 demonstrantów.

 

Sektor budowlany może stanąć w obliczu kolejnych ograniczeń, w tym zawieszenia działalności. Władze stanowe ujawniły dane mówiące, że nawet na 73 proc. budów łamano obowiązujące przepisy antycovidowe. (PAP)
